Wide-plank white oak hardwood flooring with a natural finish and prominent wood grain. High-precision milled random length wood boards by Czar Floors.

Wide Plank Wood Flooring

Solid & Engineered Hardwood – Strip and Wide Board Options

Wide plank wood flooring uses solid or engineered hardwood boards in random lengths, typically 4 inches or wider, for a clean, contemporary look. Narrower strip flooring (2¼" to 3") offers a more traditional appearance. Every board is precision-milled from Appalachian White Oak, Red Oak, Maple, or American Walnut — available in solid ¾" hardwood or engineered construction. Strip and plank flooring pair naturally with herringbone, parquet, and medallion patterns to complete a custom floor design.

Precision Milling:

Hardwood plank flooring, custom milled by Czar Floors, exceeds NOFMA and NWFA specifications. Our Select grade is similar to Clear Grade specified by NOFMA and NWFA. Czar Floors' boards are produced on German-made precision molders with human and machine inspection for knots and sap.

Wood Material:

All planks are back-channeled. Moisture content is between 6.5% and 8.5% and not more than 9% in any single board. Tolerance for dimensional deviation does not exceed .005" in the width or profile of any single piece. Czar Floors white oak is the best quality Appalachian white oak.

Lead Time:

Every Czar Floors plank flooring order is custom-milled to your specifications. Please allow 3 to 6 weeks before shipping, depending on the type, quantity, and size. Lead time is typically longer for wide (over 6") and longer-length boards. Lead time and material availability change daily and are confirmed at the time of the order.

Insured Shipping:

All shipments are fully insured and trackable. A tracking number will be sent to you by email once your order has shipped.

In the rare event of damage or loss, we will handle all carrier claims and resolutions.

For plank flooring orders, Czar Floors uses FedEx Freight (LTL).

FedEx Freight service is “curbside delivery,” meaning the truck will deliver to the end of your driveway. Lift Gate service is included for orders over 800 sq. ft. to lower pallets to ground level.

Please note that in the New York City vicinity and New Jersey, we deliver for a flat $350 fee in any quantity. Please call us or e-mail us to place an order in those areas. Please get in touch with us for an accurate shipping charge quote for other parts of the country.

We include a Notification Service so the carrier will call ahead to schedule your delivery appointment. We recommend having your contractor or an assistant available to help unload the floor.

Packaging and Handling:

Plank flooring is palletized, shrink-wrapped, and strapped for maximum stability during transit. Flooring is packed in manageable bundles. Once pallets are unstrapped outside, the flooring can be moved inside bundle by bundle. Flooring must be moved to a climate-controlled area immediately.

Custom-Made Product Returns:

As a custom-manufactured product, plank flooring is non-returnable and cannot be canceled once production has begun.

Boards wider than 8” — up to 12” — are available in engineered construction only. Please contact us for a custom quote.

Random-Width Mix Calculator

A random-width floor alternates two or three board widths in a repeating cycle for a natural, varied appearance. Each width appears the same number of times, but wider boards cover more area per row — so the order quantity is proportional to each board's width. Select a width combination and enter your total area to see how much of each width to order.

Enter the total area to see the quantity breakdown.

Solid Quarter or Rift sawn oak is a perfect choice for radiant heat flooring, due to its long successful history of use over radiant heated floors. Radiant floor heating, using solid quartersawn oak flooring, has always been a good selection for stability, especially when installing boards wider than 4 inches. With any floors - radiant or not - Rift/Quartered sawn oak would be the best choice and superior to plainsawn for a small increase in investment.

Hardwood floor planks can be used to fill the areas between borders and walls with parquet installed inside the borders. This will create the beautiful appearance of a "wooden rug".

Czar Floor can supply quality plank flooring at competitive prices. The benefit of ordering plank floor from the same source as your parquet, herringbone, medallions and borders is that you can ensure that it will match in thickness and appearance to other decorative floor.

Please account for waste of at least 10%. You may estimate the quantity by using our on-line Flooring Calculator . The flooring is sold in full bundles. The actual shipping quantity is automatically recalculated and rounded up to full bundles. After entering the required quantity, please click anywhere on the page or hit "Tab" to see the updated shipping quantity and total material cost. If ordering with parquet or herringbone, there is no minimum - please call to order.
