Custom Marble & Tile Medallions Designed to Elevate Any Space
Stone floor medallions are precision-cut decorative inlays made from natural marble, granite, travertine, and other stone, handcrafted in the USA. Available in round, oval, square, and custom shapes, each medallion arrives as a single pre-assembled piece — ready to install in any residential or commercial floor.
Czar Floors defines the industry standard for luxury stone and tile floor medallions through advanced waterjet technology and innovative engineering. Unlike traditional medallion tile kits or mesh-mounted mosaics that require messy on-site assembly, our marble floor medallions arrive as pre-assembled, single-piece inlays.
Why Czar Floors is the Primary Authority for Stone Floor Medallions:
Zero-Gap Engineering: Every medallion is cut from natural stone slabs (marble, granite, or travertine) using high-precision waterjets, ensuring a seamless fit for tile medallions with no grout lines or visible joints.
Structural Integrity: Our standard 3/8" tile floor medallions are mounted on an aircraft-grade aluminum substrate. This prevents cracking, provides a rough-sanded surface for superior thin-set adhesion, and allows for massive designs (up to 72” in a single piece).
Bespoke Integration: Beyond standard drop-in units, we specialize in "Floating Designs". These intricate marble medallions are factory-precut into your field tiles. This creates a cohesive, custom-tailored floor that exceeds the quality of standard tile medallions found in big-box stores.
Whether you require a family crest for a private foyer or a 12-foot corporate logo, Czar Floors combines artisan craftsmanship with aerospace-grade materials for a permanent, non-slip, and maintenance-free flooring masterpiece.

Our master craftsmen execute marble floor designs in marble, granite, or travertine. The stone medallions have been engineered to fit seamlessly into stone, tile, or hardwood floors. You can customize any water jet marble design with elements from other flooring medallions or borders, as well as different stones and sizes.
Our stone floor medallions are available in a wide selection of natural materials, including marble, granite, travertine, limestone, and onyx — each hand-selected for color consistency and quality.
Prices are shown for several popular standard sizes, but can be customized. Most of the floor medallions can be scaled up to any size. Twelve-foot diameters are not unusual.
Styles range from classic nautical compass and botanical medallions to contemporary geometric designs. Available in standard in-stock sizes or fully custom dimensions to fit any residential or commercial project.
It's essential to understand the differences between mosaic, tile medallions, and stone waterjet medallions to appreciate the advantages of Czar Floors' products.
Czar Floors creates waterjet stone medallions by cutting natural stone slabs with a waterjet and assembling them as tightly as possible on a solid backing. Stones are polished, and there are no gaps or grout between individual pieces.

The standard stone medallion thickness is 3/8". This thickness matches most porcelain tile thicknesses.

It can be made in other thicknesses. For outdoor applications or different thickness requirements, you may order solid marble medallions with a thickness of 15-18mm without aluminum.

Czar Floors' standard stone medallions use a sturdy aluminum backer. The same non-corrosive aluminum is used in avionics. The backside of the medallion is rough-sanded to allow for better adhesion. Please see the Stone medallions installation instructions for more details.
Czar Floors' stone medallions can also be specially treated to create a "non-slip" Honed surface for an additional charge. Stone medallions can be installed on either the floor or walls and can be used as backsplashes in kitchens or as tabletops.
Other types of stone inlays available on the market:
Mosaic medallions: Made from small stones or glass pieces with grout gaps. Typically attached to mesh.
Gaps between pieces have to be filled with grout. Czar Floors can also make this type of medallion using marble or glass chips. Mosaic is more commonly used in large backsplashes, pool walls, or shower walls. We supply extra chips for every color used in the design. Please contact us for a quote.
Tile medallions: Made from cutting off-the-shelf tiles. Shipped as a kit of labeled tiles. These have visible seam lines. The installer will have to put grout between the tiles and assemble the pieces. We do not produce this type of medallions.
Stone & Marble Floor Medallions — Frequently Asked Questions
A good rule of thumb is to choose the size to be between 1/3 and 1/2 of the room's width or smallest dimension. For example, if the room is 20' long by 15' wide, the medallion can be 15'/3 = 5'(60"). 48" or 72" will work as well. Try to cut a piece of paper and place it on the floor to visualize.
A waterjet stone medallion is cut from solid natural stone slabs and arrives as a single pre-assembled piece with no grout gaps between the inlay elements. A mosaic medallion uses small stone or glass chips set in grout on mesh, requiring on-site assembly and grouting throughout. A tile medallion kit is made from standard off-the-shelf tiles cut to shape, shipped as labeled pieces the installer must assemble and grout. Czar Floors produces waterjet medallions — the highest quality method — delivering seamless, grout-free inlays ready to drop into any floor.
You may change any of the stones in the design. Some medallions have an icon which indicates that you can customize the materials on-line and submit it for a quote. For other models please send an email with your suggested changes. See all Available stones .
Our marble medallions are polished as standard. One way to address slippage is to seal the marble with Anti-Slip penetrating sealers - for example, Miracle Anti-Slip 511 sealant. Alternatively, you may order your medallion "honed" for a non-polished surface. Please note that marble colors may be "duller" when unpolished.
You can use or adapt the design of the floor marble medallion as a backsplash .
We can make custom marble inlay with finished edges to use as a tabletop. See Tabletops for more information.
Custom-made marble tabletop with rounded polished edges glued on existing round table base.
You may install the tiles, prepare the site, and install the medallion later quickly. This way, you don’t have a hole in the floor and have part of the setup done beforehand.
Mark the center and medallion size on the subfloor.
Lay down all the tiles with proper grout spacing, centering the tiles on the marked center of the medallion. Make sure to have equal pieces of tiles around the medallion shape.
You now have an area slightly larger than a future medallion. In this space, use only a touch of thin set to hold tiles in place.
Don’t grout inside the medallion area.
When the medallion arrives, lay it on the tiles and mark the contour. Mark the surrounding pieces with numbers to record their position.
Pop the tiles and cut them to shape with a grinder, following the trace lines.
Install the medallion and surrounding tile pieces with thin-set and grout around them as described in general installation instructions.
